As we prepare for the rest of this year, we want to communicate our ministry plans and vision. In 2024, as we have prayed and sought the Lord, we feel it is our year HASTEN the Gospel.
The Lord has put three major assignments on our ministry this year:
1. We feel God’s calling to start FOUR more homes for kids in Nepal.
We have three locations already being investigated and vetted. One is in a remote area in Nepal in the South, and another is in Pokhara and will provide a home for the girls we’ve raised who are about to start university. They have to move from the remote mountains to the city for education. The third is in Kathmandu. We have a fourth location on the border of India, but we have just started investigating.
We budget $20,000 per home, which includes all preparation costs. This brings our total 2024 host home cost to $80,000.
2. We feel the Lord would have us hold five major international outreaches/conferences this year.
We have completed one already in January in Nepal and it was so powerful. We have another two planned in Nepal (pastors conference, youth conference, and village outreaches), one in Tamil Nadu, India, and one in Kumasi, Ghana later in the year. All are designed to reach the unreached, empower pastors to take the Gospel to unreached people groups, and inspire the Christians in these nations to take care of children who are at risk of human trafficking.
In particular, we feel led to expand our work in India this year. Because of the new laws, this is a challenge, but one of our oldest friends in India has recently been put in a position to make this expansion move legally quicker. We are excited about this because our conference is the next step in that direction. Each of these outreaches/conferences costs around $10,000 to do well.
That brings the total for four international outreaches to $40,000.
Together, our total 2024 outreach budget and new homes budget (on top of our ongoing ministry obligations) is $120,000.
3. Relocation of our Ministry Headquarters (Prayer Requests)
After much prayer and confirming words from people whom we trust and love, we have decided to close our ministry center in Chattanooga and relocate our home and headquarters. We are leaning heavily toward Houston, TX as our American home, but we are still in prayer. Please pray for us in this area. - Favor and clarity in this move. The kids are getting close to school age and we want it finalized before then.
- We are also wanting to get them on the field with us this year (or next), God willing. Pray for them as we prepare them to meet the world! 🙂
- Please pray for personal provision as we move our family to another state.
- Also, pray for favor working with the landlord of Hasten’s Chattanooga location. We are ending the lease early, God willing, and need God to make the transition smooth and affordable. We are negotiating now and need favor and wisdom.
Monthly Support
One of our biggest needs this year is new monthly partners. As we take in new children, support new pastors, add new outreaches, and relocate, we need more monthly support to cover this cost. We also feel the need to hire help here in the USA to help manage the ministry while we give ourselves more to the ministry itself.
Please pray in faith and declare many new financial partners for Hasten Nations in 2024!
As we get ready for quite a year, I want you to know that we love and appreciate you. We also want you to know that we need your prayers and giving. God has built the church in such a way that we are not able to succeed with each other. We need each other.
